Terms of Service
Effective date: 17 October 2026
StepFluent is operated by EZRAN TECH, registered in Malaysia under registration number 202403112840 (MA0315851-P) (“EZRAN TECH”, “we”, “us” or “our”).
Business location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

1. Using StepFluent
These Terms apply to StepFluent. Adults agree to them when creating an account or buying membership. Students under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian authorise their use and agree to these Terms on their behalf before registration. Students can then register and learn directly, without extra approval checkboxes or screens.
StepFluent provides maths practice, explanations and progress reports. It supports learning but does not replace a teacher or official examination guidance. We do not guarantee grades or improvement. We are independent of the examination boards named on the website.
2. Look after your account
Provide accurate details, keep passwords and family connection codes private, and use your own student account. Only provide another person’s information if you have authority. Contact us about unauthorised access or an incorrect family connection.
Use StepFluent for personal learning. Do not access other people’s accounts, bypass payment or security controls, disrupt the service, scrape substantial content, or copy and resell protected materials. Legal rights to use content still apply.
StepFluent’s software, questions, explanations and designs belong to EZRAN TECH or its licensors. You keep rights in your own submitted material and allow us to use it as needed to provide, support and secure the service, as explained in our Privacy Policy.
3. Free trials and paid memberships
Trial duration and conditions will be stated when you register. The currently advertised seven-day trial requires no card and does not automatically create a paid subscription.
Where paid memberships are available, checkout will show the price, currency, billing period, student capacity, applicable taxes and renewal terms before purchase.
Only an adult authorised to use the payment method may purchase membership. Recurring payments require express authorisation.
Subscriptions renew according to the terms accepted at checkout until cancelled. Material price changes affecting renewal will be notified in advance, with an opportunity to cancel before the new price applies.
Cancellation and refunds
You may cancel renewal through the membership billing portal or contact support for assistance.
Unless expressly stated otherwise at purchase, cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period and access continues until then.
Stopping use, signing out or requesting account deletion does not itself cancel a subscription. We will assist with cancellation when a deletion request involves an active subscription.
Unless required by law or expressly offered at purchase, we do not provide refunds solely for unused time or a change of mind after paid access begins.
This does not restrict remedies for unauthorised or duplicate charges, defective services or other circumstances covered by mandatory consumer law. Contact support with the relevant transaction reference.
4. Results and service availability
Students can manage result sharing in their account settings. Turning it off stops future access and reports, but does not recall copies already received. Do not share another person’s learning records without authority.
We provide StepFluent with reasonable care and skill. Maintenance and faults may interrupt access, and features may change. If we remove a substantial paid feature or close the service during a prepaid period, we will provide an appropriate remedy, including a proportionate refund where warranted or legally required.
We may restrict accounts for serious misuse, security risks, unlawful activity or unpaid fees, explaining the reason and allowing resolution where practical. Contact support to close an account; we will explain important effects on records, linked accounts and subscriptions before irreversible deletion.
5. Our responsibility
We are responsible for reasonably foreseeable loss caused by our breach of these Terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for business losses from this personal learning service.
To the extent lawful and fair, our total liability for other claims arising from the service is limited to US$100, or the equivalent amount in another currency.
This limit does not apply to fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence, breach of our confidentiality or personal-data protection obligations, or liability that the law does not allow us to limit. Nothing in these Terms removes mandatory consumer rights.
External services have their own terms and privacy notices. We remain responsible for our own selection and use of providers.
6. Questions and changes
Email hello@stepfluent.com for help or complaints. Malaysian law applies, alongside any mandatory protections that apply to you. You may still use an eligible consumer tribunal, regulator or court.
We will publish changes with an effective date and give reasonable advance notice of important changes. Changes do not remove existing rights retrospectively. We will seek agreement where required and provide an appropriate cancellation or refund remedy for material adverse changes during a prepaid period. If one provision cannot be enforced, the others continue where legally possible.
